Hatsune Miku - Hatsune Miku "Lime" - Statue Noodle Stopper 14cm
Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer created by the Japanese company Crypton Future Media and launched in 2007 as part of the Character Vocal Series.
Originally, Miku was primarily a voice bank designed for voice synthesis software. Users can input their own melodies and lyrics to have her perform original songs.
Her visual identity — long turquoise hair tied in two pigtails, electronic accessories and a futuristic outfit — quickly became a huge hit. Thousands of musicians, illustrators and creators then began producing their own works based on the character.
Unlike a hero from a traditional manga or anime, Hatsune Miku does not have a single official backstory. Her universe relies heavily on the creations of her community, which allows the character to be constantly reinterpreted through new outfits, themes and collaborations.
This creative freedom explains the existence of numerous seasonal or themed variations such as Sakura Miku, Snow Miku and the various versions featured in the Noodle Stopper range.
The Lime Ver. fits perfectly into this tradition. It reimagines Miku with a fresh, zesty aesthetic, dominated by colours inspired by lime, whilst retaining the visual elements that have made her one of the most recognisable icons of Japanese digital culture.
The Noodle Stopper collection adds an extra touch of playfulness by presenting Miku in a seated pose that can be displayed just as easily on the edge of a shelf as on the lid of a packet of instant noodles.
